2,788 permits among of total permits (43.6% of the total) were issued for the construction of residential buildings. This figure is 3% more than in 2017. At the same time, the number of permits issued for the construction of non-residential buildings decreased by 10% over the year.

The total number of planned housing in the past 2018 was 3,491 units, their total area is 507,265 m2, and the average area is 145.3 m2.

The average area of single-family houses planned in 2018 increased by 1.23% from 162 m2 to 164 m2, and the average area of apartments decreased by 7.52% from 93 m2 to 86 m2.

Thus, the tendency of housing construction growth in Slovenia is obvious, however, but the area of apartments under construction is decreasing.
